Description
This interactive learning board provides a clear illustration of the water cycle process fostering a good understanding. Children will learn that this is an endless cycle whereby water constantly moves between the land and the atmosphere. A wheel on the side of the board enables children to gain first-hand knowledge of the process as it is rotated. First the sunshine on the land evaporates water from rivers, lakes and the sea. This rises into the atmosphere as water vapour to form clouds. In the clouds the vapour cools turning back into water droplets. The water droplets fall from the sky (precipitate) as rain, snow or even as ice (hailstones). When the water hits the land, it runs off into streams, rivers and into the sea. Again, it is warmed by the sun and the process begins again.
