Description
The bean is a fast-growing plant, germinating quickly in around 10 days and producing fruit in 60 days. It has a large seed, so it is easy to see the stages of germination as the seed-coat splits and a first root appears (radicle) followed by the leaf shoots. This Learning Board shows the stages of early plant growth (which is the same for all plants). These stages are encapsulated forever in 4 clear plastic blocks using real specimens and can be illuminated individually using back lights with a button for each. Children can examine these specimens carefully to get an understanding of one of nature's great moments. Their knowledge and vocabulary will expand as a result. Batteries not included.
