Description
This large round magnifier will enthral children with its large lens (85mm in diameter) and colourfully illustrated surround. The lens is encased in a tough plywood outer frame with hand-hold cut-outs to provide the ideal stable way of presenting the lens at the right height over specimens. Magnifying lenses reveal so much more detail than can be seen with the naked eye, creating awe and wonder especially with live and natural specimens. Observation is the main way by which we learn, and the handheld magnifier will provide a new window into a tiny world we cannot normally see. The lens provides 3 x magnification across its surface and an inset ‘button lens’ provides an amazing 5x magnification. Every young child should have access to one!
