Fitting a STEM Wall to an inside classroom isn’t always possible as space in classrooms is often at a premium. So why not fit a STEM Wall outside? The plastic that Outdoor STEM Walls are made from has been specially treated to withstand all weather conditions, including the hardening effects of ultra-violet rays from the sun. Fixing it outside will create an additional learning space in a location not normally used in this way. It will also offer pupils an opportunity to explore STEM informally when they are outside taking a break or playing. Equally the resource will be available to all pupils whenever they are outside. And should a teacher want to cover a STEM lesson more formally, they can take their class outside to use it. Outdoor spaces and learning outdoors encourages a happy more informal learning environment which is now perceived as highly important for many children's enjoyment and wellbeing.
